Auferet is a multiplayer AI RPG. You invite friends into one shared world, and a single Game Master runs it for everyone, except the Game Master is the AI, not the one friend who always gets stuck running it. Everyone rolls a character. Everyone plays. The party shares the same scene, the same NPCs, and the same memory, so what one player does is part of the story the rest are in.
It is the feel of a tabletop night without the prep. Auferet describes the world, voices the NPCs, tracks the party, and resolves what happens, so nobody has to read a rulebook to run the table. You take turns in real time, and the AI folds each action into the same scene instead of splitting the group into separate chats. When you want a quieter session, the same world plays solo.
See it run
A session with four friends
Four of you are creeping through a haunted manor. One player forces a door, and the AI describes what waits behind it for the whole group at once. The next searches the room and rolls; the AI resolves it and everyone sees the result. A third tries to talk the ghost down while the fourth watches the hallway, and the AI holds all four threads inside one scene rather than four side conversations.
When a player promises the ghost a favor or names the manor's dead owner, that goes into the shared memory the whole party plays from. An hour later the AI still knows who owes what, which door you already opened, and that the fourth player never came back from the hallway. One world, one memory, one Game Master, and all of you inside it.

FAQ
Multiplayer AI RPG, answered
Can I play an AI RPG with friends?
Yes. Invite friends into the same adventure and take turns together in real time, with one AI Game Master for the whole group.
How does multiplayer work?
Your group shares one world and one Game Master. You take turns acting, and the AI responds to the whole party.
Does everyone need to be online together?
You take turns in real time when the group is online. You can also play the same world solo whenever you want.
Is it free?
You get 10 free credits to claim every day, with every feature. Unlimited actions start at $10/mo.
Can we use real system rules?
Yes. There are 5e and Pathfinder 2e modes with stat tracking and a dice roller.
How do friends join the same game?
Start solo and invite friends with a share code to join the same adventure and take turns in real time. The shared world stays consistent for everyone, because the Game Master keeps one memory of the characters, places, and events across the group.
Do we have to wait for each other's turns?
Only if you choose to. There are four ways to run a group: host only, where one person drives and everyone else watches and advises; turn based, where you act in order; free for all, where anyone can act whenever they want; and shared world, where each player has their own thread running at their own pace. Pick the one that suits the group and change it later if it is not working.
Can we play at different times instead of all being online together?
Yes, in shared world mode. Each player gets their own game master thread and plays whenever they are free, while a shared world event log keeps every thread aware of what the others have been doing. Nobody sits waiting for a friend to come online, and the world still moves as one place rather than splitting into unrelated stories.
Can the party split up and regroup?
Yes. Two players can merge into the same scene to play a stretch together, then split apart again and go their own way. That is the part most group play gets wrong: you either move as one blob forever, or you fracture into separate games that stop mattering to each other.
Does the game master know what my friend did in their own scene?
Yes. Actions land in a shared world event log, so what your friend broke, bought or angered is known to the world and can come back on you later. That is what makes it one campaign rather than several people playing near each other.
Can we each play a completely different character?
Yes. Everyone brings their own character with their own traits and their own sheet, and the game master keeps each of you distinct rather than blurring the party into one voice. You can play freeform, or run real 5e or Pathfinder 2e characters with stats and dice.
Do all of us need to pay to play together?
No. The free tier includes every feature and claims 10 credits a day, so a friend can join your world without buying anything. Unlimited actions start at $10 a month if someone plays enough to want them.
Is there a multiplayer AI RPG that works for just two people?
This does, and two is the most common size. Start solo, send one share code, and you have a two player game with a game master running the world for both of you. Nothing here needs a full table to work.
