The core numbers on the character sheet. The modifier formula is optional; use it for systems where a stat implies a bonus, like floor((STR - 10) / 2).

Things that go up and down in play: hit points, power points, ammo, sanity. The max formula is optional and can use stats and level.

Numbers computed from other numbers, like defenses or initiative. Formulas can use stat keys, modifiers (STR_mod), and level.

Plain language. Explain how checks, combat, damage, and anything unusual works. This is the heart of the mode; the GM follows it as written. You can also upload the system's rulebook as a document in-game for deeper reference.
